Roots Goes 8 Miles High!

Words and Photos by Butch Worrell

Chris Hillman (Byrds fame) and his old friend Herb Pedersen stopped in at the Loveless barn and joined the Roots' Dec 8 show. They rounded out a diverse line up of talented Americana talent*, hosted that night by the Nashville Tennessean’s senior music writer Peter Cooper.
Chris and Herb brought the music of the Byrds with a Americana bluegrass feel, the highlight of their set being a beautiful rendition of 8 Miles High. But it was the Roots Jam’s finale that got the crowd singing along to Dylan’s “You Ain’t Going Nowhere”
