Paul Simon at The Ryman

By Butch Worrell

It just doesn’t get any better than mixing one of America’s coolest Venues and Paul Simon for a night. And of course Simon’s bright stardom attracted more of the same. Mickey Raphael played his famous harmonica, Jerry Douglas his dobra, and who else to help sing Bye Bye Love but Don Everly. While a host of others (Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban….) watched from side stage Simon and his band brought the crowd to it’s feet over and over again. Sometimes it pays to live in Music City, USA.
