Carlene Carter graced the stage of the
Sirrus Radio sound studio at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday of
Americana week to record a show.
She was joined by her husband Joe
Breen, Jeff Hanna (Nitty Gritty Dirtband), Laura Cantrell, Peter
Cooper, Shawn Camp, and Matraca Berg . She talked about her new album
“Carter Girl” on Rounder Records, her upcoming tour opening 80
shows for John Mellencamp, and reminisced about growing up with the
first family of country music, the Carter Family. Playing guitar and
auto-harp she sang like a angel. The show closed with appropriately
enough, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” with Chance Martin joining
in on vocals.
