Shinedown, The Pretty Reckless, and Diamante brought a powerful show to the Peoria Civic Center. One of the most powerful sold-out shows in the Mid-west. Definitely, a show to see so get your tickets now!

Diamante

For her first trip to Central Illinois Diamante opened the show with her wonderful voice and great stage presence. Opening with "Ghost Myself" and "Haunted" Fans were singing along to her version of Goo Goo Dolls "Iris" which she collaborated with Breaking Benjamin. Closing with "War Cry" her 8 song opening set opened things up perfectly.

The Pretty Reckless

There are so many things to say about Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless. As everyone knows her early role as Cindy Lou Who in The Grinch she has come a long way and shows she knows how to rock with a capital R.O.C.K. 4 albums later they continue to dominate the tour scene. Her haunting voice and energetic stage presence of lead guitarist Ben Phillips, bassist Mark Damon, and drummer Jamie Perkins never ceases to amaze me, dear readers. The first tour since the loss of Soundgarden's Chris Cornell. She opened with Soundgarden's cover of "Loud Love" and "Since You're Gone". Playing all the fan favorites of "Death by Rock and Roll", and "Heaven Knows" and closing the 9 song setlist with "Take Me Down" the sold-out crowd was pumped full of energy and ready for the main event.

Shinedown

Twenty years and seven albums later Shinedown has been filling venues everywhere they go and with good reason. Between the message of the lyrics and powerful riffs, they bring the true meaning of rock and roll to the masses. Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida vocalist Brent Smith, guitarist Zach "Michael" Myers, bassist Eric Bass, and drummer Barry Kerch have made a name for themselves like no others. Their focus on the positive messages and uplifting lyrics and music is what in my mind sets them apart from most of the scenes today. Making a point to point out that no matter how hard things may be we are never alone. This rings true as their music brings together so many fans that are like family. Opening up the set including the new single "Planet Zero" and a first listen to the new upcoming single "Daylight" Fan favorite "Bully" which put the band on the map. Paying tribute to the recent loss of Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins with a cover of "Wheels" and closing up with the fan-favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" and Sound of Madness. Between the pounding sounds and powerful stage show, this is a band to never miss when they come to visit.
