My Morning Jacket's Two Night Run at The Palace

Jacket is on tour again promoting their new album, The Waterfall. They played a great set last night at The Palace, which is one of the coolest venues in the country as far as visual aesthetics and great sound. Floating Action opened the show and put on a great performance. They play another show at The Palace tonight which will have several surprises in store, according to Jim James. I got to shoot directly for the band last night, which was exciting as I think they are one of the top touring live bands in the world. Check out Jacket on their US Tour or many festivals. MMJ will headline Forecastle this year, which I will be working. They have also already sold out their Red Rocks Amphitheater show. Check out more info about them and some of my tour photos of MMJ at www.mymorningjacket.com..

Hozier with Dawes at The Horseshoe

Multi-Grammy award winning Hozier played with Dawes at The Horseshoe this week. Hozier has been on a non-stop World Tour with their winning album and song "Take Me To Church." I didn't know what to expect from this young Irish band but they sounded good and had the place sold out! They are all in their early 20's and finding success very quickly. Dawes played a great show as usual and definitely had a solid fan base there for them as well.

Gogol Bordello and Flogging Molly know how to throw one hell of an energetic show. Both bands played hour and a half sets to a dedicated crowd of loyal followers. Check them out on their world tour.

The War on Drugs

The War on Drugs played a fabulous pre-Bonnaroo show at the Madison Theater. The band is promoting their new album, Lost in the Dream, which is one of the best albums of the year. The War on Drugs are gaining huge momentum as a band. They continue their tour after Bonnaroo playing the east coast and then onto Europe to play Rokslide Festival and many others.

The famous Muddy Waters album (that album cover says it all) seemed to fit the spirit of the show Michael and Dylan McDonald played at the Ryman Auditorium recently. You can see and hear the influence of Michael's legacy on his son Dylan's music but Dylan has forged a style that is uniquely his own.....(read more)

Rob Zombie at Riverbend Music Center

Rob Zombie brought his tour to Riverbend Music Center last night. This guy definitely knows how to throw a rock show. Rob is touring throughout the country while also making horror films (31), directing film, and writing screenplays.
