The final installment of Grateful Dead music over the course the weekend at All Good Music
Festival and Campout 2012 was The Mickey Hart Band on Sunday afternoon. Mickey, one of the
drummers from the Grateful Dead, led a terrific show backed by Dave Schools from Widespread Panic on bass, Gawain Mathews on lead guitar, Joe Bagal on lead vocals and keyboard, Sikiru Adepoju on talking drum and djembe, Crystal Monee Hall on background vocals, and Ian Herman on drums. Of
course, Mickey was going full-throttle playing a myriad of percussion instruments including cowbells,
djembes, and even a digital drum pad.
Stockholm Syndrome is starting an east coast fall tour on September 1 in Athens, Georgia at the 40 Watt club. The all star band features Dave Schools, Wally Ingram, Jerry Joseph and Eric McFadden.
Stockholm Syndrome will also be performing in Atlanta, Asheville, Charleston, Wilmington, Raleigh, West Chester, PA, Richmond, Baltimore and finish the tour on September 12 in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Bowl.
It is rare to get to see Stockholm Syndrome because the band members are committed to other bands with heavy touring schedules. Dave Schools is the bassist for Widespread Panic and Jerry Joseph is with the Jackmoromons, Wally Ingram and Eric McFadden both perform with several other bands so collectively scheduling time for Stockholm Syndrome to tour is a challenge.
If you can't make any of Stockholm Syndrome's tour datesyou can catch them on Jamcruise in early January and soak up some sun.

Update: Stockholm Syndrome performed on September 3, 2010 at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC -
Stockholm Syndrome brought out great crowd which would have been bigger if there wasn't a bunch of major bands performing in Asheville that night. Jerry Joseph was in a good mood talking to the crowd and smiling. Stockholm Syndrome is working on a second album to release. Stockholm Syndrome performed with Eric McFadden, Jerry Joseph, Dave Schools and Wally Ingram and without Danny Louis. The band rocked a heavy show. Lights and smoke on the stage were well run and made it a great photo opportunity.
All Spreadheads and blues soaked jam rock fans rejoice, as Widespread Panic descends on the 14th annual All Good Festival in Masontown WV; July 8-11 2010. They are far from alone leading the way with Further (feat. Phil Lesh and Bob Weir). In addition there are a superb array of artists such as: Keller Williams, Femi Kuti, Bassnectar, YMSB, George Clinton and The P-Funk All Stars and Dark Star Orchestra to illuminate your summer festival highlight reel with.

For Widepsread Panic, this will be a brilliant boogie spectacle near the end of a string of wonderful summer tour shows. All of this begins on June 5th at Wakarusa Music Festival in Arkansas, then several nights at the always sold out Red Rocks in Colorado, onto the luscious High Sierra Music Festival in California, next full-tilt boogie time in West Virginia at All Good Festival, finally closing summer at Forecastle Festival in Kentucky. They will be freewheelin' through another immensely successful summer festival season; as they release an 11th studio album "Dirty Side Down", on May 25th.
Now, for anyone not familiar with the venue Marvin's Mountaintop; it is a unique 655 acre slice of gorgeous Appalachian foothills. It offers the chance to blend lush musical landscapes of the highest standards with panoramic outdoor enjoyment. Which if like me, you prefer the medium sized festival scene to the overly inflated others; this is the 'Phamily' kind of gathering we all seek. All Good Festival will continue its tradition of intimate but musically expansive festivals. This year will be offered with over 40 hours of music, with "No Overlapping Sets". If your synaptic processes are connecting then you probably just realized the potential for days of musical bliss; without having to forgo the start of one act for the end of another.
Widespread Panic as in years past, will produce an enchanting mountaintop festival experience; along with a stellar cast of musical cohorts. I hope all of you have the serendipity to join me, in the revelry of another Panic induced All Good Festival.
