One of the advantages of living in Nashville (Music City USA) is the unlimited amount of live music to experience. Among the best is the Jack Pearson Trio. With Charles Treadway on the Hammond organ and Joshua Hunt on drums they can produce some amazing music of all genres. Almost every month they play at 3rd and Lindsley where often other world class musicians come sit in. This last month saw Pat Bergeson join in and wow the crowd with his harmonica prowess.

The Stolen Faces are not just another Grateful Dead Cover band. As befitting their home in Nashville, TN (Music City USA) their musical expertise makes them the band to which all others strive to be. The core members are Jack Silverman on guitar and Christian Grizzard on bass.  And their sometimes musical partner, Annie Sellick, a vocalist of great standing in her own right, adds a component which takes one back to the best Dead shows of the 70's.

Anders Osborne kicks off 2016 tour

Anders Osborne is....
New Orleans own poet laureate/tune-smith, vocalist supreme, guitarist exemplar, leader of the band, and the real deal in a musical landscape filled with mediocre artists. Nashville's City Winery was the site of his 2016 tour opener and his performance there bodes well for his tour.

Heart @ the Biltmore Estate

Heart took a pause from their Heartbreaker tour to perform an "Evening With Heart" show at the historic Biltmore Estate, which is nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. The show couldn't have taken place on a more perfect evening, with the sun setting during the opening songs, creating a fireworks show in the sky that nearly matched the fireworks happening on stage.

BRUCE - MetLife Stadium 9/22-23 Happy Birthday Boss

Images and article by Bill Kelly

 63 years old.
When most of us think of this milestone, images of quiet family dinners,  maybe a round of golf and, if lucky enough, pop a little blue pill and try your luck with the Mrs.  But not Bruce Springsteen - Playing before a sold out crowd that had waited through a 2+ hour rain delay, Bruce took the stage at home state New Jersey’s MetLife stadium and powered through a 33 song set, hitting the last note at 2:00am.

91X Wrex the Halls in San Diego featuring Social Distortion, Death Cab, Florence and Many More.

91X Wrex the Halls had a myriad of great performers including Run DMC, Blink 182, Social Distortion, Death Cab, Florence + Machine, Noel Gallagher, Switchfoot, Everlast, Pennywise, Cage the Elephant, Airborne Toxic, Naked and Famous, and Mutemath. The event spanded the evenings of December 10th and 11th at The Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. There was a great sense of community as most of the bands checked out each other from the stage side and conversed while waiting to play their set. The 12 bands only had hour long sets so they played their strongest songs to have a very full night of great rock and roll.

Please see the following link for more photos from the fest:

Holiday Hootenany with My Morning Jacket in San Diego

The 2011 Holiday Hootenany at Jenny Craig Arena, featured several bands including My Morning Jacket. MMJ played a full set of their classics and new songs off the album Circuital. In an initial interview, the band seemed exhausted from their travels, but it did not affect their set as they played the three hour set with colossal energy. The show ended with a fitting track named "One Big Holiday," which had the crowd fired up and wanting more from this legendary quintet. Photos by Doug Siegel Photography.
