Chicago & Earth, Wind and Fire Take the Stage Together for an All-Star Performance

Chicago joined forces with their touring mates Earth, Wind and Fire last night at Riverbend Music Center. Needless to say, there were a lot of people on one stage but they sounded very tight, like they have been doing this together for years. Chicago is only second to The Beach Boys in Billboard singles and album chart success in the music industry, which gives the band some serious clout. Riverbend was packed with loyal fans of both bands.

The Smashing Pumpkins & Marilyn Manson End Their Tour at Riverbend

The Smashing Pumpkins & Marilyn Manson ended their summer tour at Riverbend Music Center. The Smashing Pumpkins played just about all of their best tunes off of every album since Gish. Marilyn was up to the typical Manson stage theatrics and rants. (We only got 2 minutes to shoot Manson and crazy lighting strobes for Pumpkins)

Warren Haynes with Railroad Earth at PNC Pavilion

Warren Haynes is currently touring with Railroad Earth. Railroad played their own set and then stayed on stage to play an entire set with Warren Haynes. They played a number of originals and covers on a balmy August night at PNC Pavilion.

Incubus & Deftones At Riverbend Music Center

I haven't seen Incubus in 15 years but they sounded as good as they did back in the day. Both bands played full sets of all of their classics. Brandon Boyd and Chino Moreno still have the energy that it takes to front a band and perform well in front of 10,000 people. Check their tour dates at Incubushq.com..

The SteelDrivers took the stage at the Ryman Auditorium July 23rd as part of the “Bluegrass Nights” series. Hot from the success of their new album “The Muscle Shoals Recordings” on Rounder records which debuted on the Billboard Bluegrass chart at #1 they are not your ordinary Bluegrass band.

Widespread Panic and My Morning Jacket Close Out Nights Two and Three at Forecastle Festival

It was another great year of music in Louisville at the Forecastle Festival. Just starting to sort through thousands of photos from this year's festival and am working backwards, putting Widespread Panic and MMJ as the first bands edited. More to come from Forecastle 2015.
